Center for Excellence in Watershed Management  –  The U. S. Environmental Protection Agency has designated the Kentucky Water Resources Research Institute at the University of Kentucky (UK) as a Center of Excellence for Watershed Management.  The Center provides technical expertise to a variety of stakeholders to advance watershed planning and management.
Cumberland River Compact  –  A nonprofit organization dedicated to enhance the water quality of the Cumberland River and its tributaries through education and by promoting cooperation among citizens, businesses, and agencies in Kentucky and Tennessee.

Kentucky Laws  –   Access to Kentucky Revised Statutes provided by the Legislative Research Commission.
Kentucky River Authority  –  Created by act of the Kentucky General Assembly, the Kentucky River Authority has responsibility for comprehensive planning and management of water quality and water resources in the Kentucky River Basin.
Kentucky State Nature Preserves Commission  –  The KSNPC works to preserve natural areas, biological diversity, and unique ecosystems.
